If you've been reading my blog for any amount of time, you should know by now the condition of my hair is something I'm constantly struggling with. 10 years of colouring my hair (including bleach blonde for 3 years of that) has left me with well...not much hair and the hair that is left is rather damaged. Hence my quest to find the Holy Grail product that will be my hair care saviour. Today I'm reviewing a leave in conditioner by a brand I'm quite fond of: Aussie. Previous to this, I was always wary of leave in conditioners as I was scared they'd leave me with a greasy mess instead of a lovely sleek head of hair. However, Miracle Hair Insurance calls itself "a saviour for weak, distressed hair" so I decided to give it a shot.

Like many other hair care products I've used, I believe this would be an excellent product if you hair isn't in a condition that's as bad as mine! I do like this product and it has a number of bonus points. It smells lovely. It really does detangle my hair, and after I've used this, my hair is absolutely wonderfully sleek and soft. It's also quite shiny which I won't complain about. My fears about greasy looking hair were unfounded, as I make sure I avoid my roots while applying this and so far, it hasn't been a problem at all.

That being said, I'd really expect a leave in conditioner to have lasting effects and I'm not so sure this product does. On days where I've used it, my hair does feel fantastic and much better than usual, but I'd expect this feeling to remain on the second day after washing but I don't really think it does. You can tell when I've got second day hair as it's a lot more frizzier, not as soft and if I've got work, I'll usually just shove it up into a pony tail because it looks better that way. Now I could just wash my hair everyday, ensuring I use this product everyday - but I'd really rather not start doing that again. And like I said, I didn't want to have to do this, I wanted this product to have long term effects!

So, I probably won't bother repurchasing this. If you're after a product though that makes washed hair a lot less detangled, smelling great and sleek and shiny then this is worth a go though.
