I make it no secret that I love warmer weather and that things like the  and especially SNOW make me quite a grumpy Emily indeed! However, for many of us Brits, it would seem Winter is here to stay. So, instead of being moody about it, I decided I was going to embrace the weather, get dressed in  best snow queen attire and take some lovely, pretty, snowy OOTD photos. That being said, when I was all nicely dressed in the comfort of my centrally heated house and saw the size of the white flakes falling from the sky, I decided my new bedroom would be the backdrop for my failed snow queen shoot.

That said, I do adore this outfit and with some clever adjustments it's more than suitable for this icy climate. Add a scarf, a few more pairs of tights and swap my battered old brogues for some boots instead and I'd gladly wear this outside. My big fur coat has been my best friend this cold, long winter and I love how nicely it goes with my collection of monochrome dresses. This particular Missguided one is an often forgotten item in my wardrobe but I'm always delighted when I pull it back out again. Headwear is an essential for me when it's cold, I have quite the collection of berets now but this adorable Matalan one always adds a little bit extra to my outfits.

Of course I'm yearning for warmer weather, pastel shades and bright lips, but for now feminine, elegant outfits like this one will tide me over.

How do you feel about recent weather?
