Tut tut, here I am breaking the rule that you just don't wear black and blue together. Personally, I really don't think it looks that bad, and we all know rules were made for breaking! I've been making an effort to wear things I don't normally wear recently, and I was glad to pull this lovely little lace blue number out from my wardrobe. Although quite girly, I like the contrast of that with my leather shorts. To make the outfit a little less dark, I added my patterned rose tights which I feel makes the outfit just a little more interesting. The focal point of this outfit however is my new leather rucksack! I've been after a rucksack for ages - I'm constantly travelling by train and I wanted a bag that I could sling on and forget about to make my journeys a little easier and when I found this affordable one in Primark, I had to have it. While I originally intended to only use it for travel purposes, I've ended up using this pretty regularly for work and leisure days. It's roomy enough for my liking and despite not being real leather, so far, I'm impressed with the quality.
I think my makeup serves as a "don't do this again" reminder in all honesty. Like with my clothes, I feel I've been in a bit of a makeup rut recently and because I'm trying to reign in my spending, simply going out and buying more makeup hasn't been an option. I instead turned to my Urban Decay Book of Shadows III palette and tried to use some of the colours I hadn't touched in there. Sadly, I really don't think this combination of Money and Radium really worked. I chose them because my shirt was blue, but they're all very different shades of blue. Not to mention the plum coloured lip balm doesn't really work with the look either - I was just so desperate to wear it that I ignored how terrible it looked! In all honest one of the main reasons I do OOTD and FOTD posts is so I can see what does and doesn't work for me - anyone enjoying my posts is just a bonus ;) So, let's say this is a lesson learnt?
Do you think black and blue should never be seen together or like me, do you think it's not that big of an issue?
