Arbonne FC5 Complexion Perfecting Set [Product Review]

At the time of writing this post, I was an Arbonne Independent Consultant. To learn more about what this means, please click here.

Back in August, my skin was a mess. I had what I felt was going to be a permanent mess on my left cheek - if I wasn't having a full on break out, I had an ugly mess of scars on show or a mixture of both. No amount of makeup would cover it and no skin care could seem to shift it. Besides my cheek, my chin was always spotty along with my forehead. My pores were hugely noticeable, my skin colour was nowhere near even and it was so oily every product ever would just slide off my face. I wasn't a very happy bunny. I kind of dabbled in the idea of cutting "bad" ingredients out of my routine or going all natural whatever that means and then along came Arbonne. With their high quality mineral oil and paraben free products, I decided I had nothing to lose and gave them a go.

The FC5 Complexion Perfecting Set is a set of three products from the FC5 Range specially aimed at oily/combination skin. It sounded perfect to me. The three products area face wash and toner, a daily moisturiser and a mattifying powder. From my first use of these products I could tell they were of a different breed from the products I was used to using. When using the Purifying Cleanser and Toner, I made the mistake of squirting out as much as I would with any other face wash. Not needed! Arbonne products are so potent you literally only need the tiniest amount of it to get to work. I literally use a 5p sized amount now and that's more than enough. It feels luxurious. It's thick and smells incredibly fruity without being overpowering. It feels like it's working and from the very first use you can see how it effectively mattifies your face.

When I got to the Oil Absorbing Day Lotion, again, I wasn't disappointed. Again, one pump is all you need of this, a pump and a half if you feel your skin really needs it. Although my skin is predominantly oily I do get very dry patches on my nose and this clears that right up. At the same time, this moisturiser is so light that I don't mind applying it because it sinks right into my skin without making me conscious it's going to go oily. Teamed with the Mattifying Powder from the kit, I'm left with the perfect matte, oil free base to apply my makeup to.

Over time, I've just watched my skin get better and better with the daily use of this truly Complexion Perfecting Kit. My oily skin is much easier to control now. My makeup stays on my face and I do not get blemishes anymore unless I've been drinking alcohol and sleeping in my makeup. This kit was the start of my journey towards better skin and I can't imagine using any other brand of skin care now. If your skin is really bad and like me, nothing is working for you, I'd recommend starting with this.
