WIWIW #2: Embracing Yellow

For those of you who didn't see my first WIWIW (What I Wish I Wore) post, here's a little update: at the moment, a few things are preventing me from taking outfit photos for blog posts: my camera is at my mum's house 200 miles away, as are most of my clothes, I'm lusting after so many new clothes, I'm busy with other things meaning my blog has taken a backseat and so on. This had led to the creation of "dream outfit posts" instead.

Today's outfit features a number of trends I am head over heels in love with. The first is yellow. It looks like yellow is becoming a popular colour for spring and I'm suddenly really appreciating it. I never, ever used to like yellow, I suspect because it was the colour of my primary school uniform. However, back in 2010 when I went to see Courtney Love, I purchased a pastel yellow Hole merchandise jumper which I really love. Since then I've started to like yellow a lot more and I've been meaning to add more to my wardrobe. I first spied a cropped fluffy jumper in yellow on Boohoo and I've been obsessed ever since. I love fluffy jumpers and I wear my pink one frequently. A yellow one would be an amazing addition to my wardrobe.

However, the main reason I became hooked on the idea of a yellow jumper is because I realised it would look awesome with another item of clothing I've been drooling over for the longest time: the Motel Kimmy Tube Skirt in Wild Daisy Print. I adore this skirt so much, not only is the style my favourite style of skirt, but the daisy print thing is a bandwagon I've been dying to jump on for a while. I really can't believe I've yet to get my hands on this to be honest, at £22 it's a bargain to says it's from Motel.

Of course, no outfit is complete with accessories and I had the perfect ones in mind for this particular outfit. The cheapest way to get on board the daisy trend is definitely a pair of daisy earrings. While I already have my own pair, I spotted this pair on Etsy and was instantly impressed. I also really like white sunglasses (yet another thing I love but have never got round to buying) and I think this heart shaped pair from Etsy again would set this lovely spring time outfit off nicely.

What do you think of this dream outfit?
