Arbonne Creme Concealer [Product Review]

At the time of writing this post, I was an Arbonne Independent Consultant. To learn more about what this means, please click here.

If you've been reading this blog for any amount of time, you're probably aware that Benefit Boi-ing is my favourite concealer and in fact, my review is actually one of my most read posts of all time. Shortly before I used up my last pot of Benefit's fab concealer, I was introduced to Arbonne, and naturally, I had to see how their offering compared.

Thanfully, Arbonne's Creme Concealer is a nice solid concealer, just like Boi-ing, meaning my first impressions were encouraging. I'm a fan of this packaging too, plastic, sturdy, with simple Arbonne branding on the front - although, I'm sure you've notice I've managed to rub the logo off on mine! It clicks shut securely, so if like me you cart concealer around with you, you've got nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately, this product only comes in three shades - something that seems to be typical of this type of product - and this does concern me as I am quite fair skinned and often worry the lightest won't be quite light enough. Thankfully, my worries about this were unfounded.

When it comes to actual performance, you can take a look at the photograph above. Although it doesn't hide my dreaded dark circles entirely, it makes them a lot less obvious with nice natural looking coverage. In my experience, it gives just the same amount of coverage as Benefit's Boi-ing.

In terms of lasting power - the oilier my skin is at the time, the worse it is, and doesn't always last on my skin all day long. However, on better skin days this stays put right up until I finish work which is exactly what I want from my makeup.

The trick with this particular concealer is application methods. I find dabbing small amounts onto necessary areas with a firm eyeshadow/concealer brush and then bouncing a Beauty Blender-style sponge to blend the product in works the best.

My final verdict: since trying this, I haven't repurchased Boi-ing again. I'm now halfway through my second pot of the Arbonne concealer and I fully intend on repurchasing again! Winner!
