On Wednesday 5th November, I was so excited to get dressed! I had carefully planned my outfit consisting mainly of items from my most recent Primark haul and a lovely makeup look to go with it. I'd got my layers sorted out - there were two pairs of tights underneath those leggings and the scarf, hat and cardigan along with my leather jacket were designed to keep me as warm as possible.
I was going to see some fireworks! Except, unfortunately, I got cancelled on. We rescheduled for Saturday, but it sadly chucked it down and it was the beginning of the bout of flu I'm currently battling. I guess fireworks for me were just not meant to happen this year! And so, my beloved new outfit has become "What I Didn't Wear."
That being said, I did wear this outfit to work and I am absolutely thrilled with it. I'd seen the skirt in Primark and I'd liked it a lot, but I decided I didn't really have anything interesting to go with it. I then turned around to see this lovely green tshirt, which I already own and love in different colours, and realised the two were meant to be. I'm quite enjoying wearing seasonally appropriate colours this year and green has fast become a favourite in my wardrobe.
Accessorising this was easy, I just wanted to be warm! My fox scarf from Topshop is the most functional scarf I own, as well as being the cutest and this beret is the warmest one I own. Opting for leggings seemed natural.
I actually own quite a lot of green eyeshadows and having green eyes, I really should wear them more often! Now that the amount of green in my wardrobe is increasing, I'm getting better at this! Annoyingly in all my photos, my makeup looks grey but I promise you in reality it was a lovely dark green smoky look! It perfectly complimented the outfit and I can't wait to try it out again. My Urban Decay Vice 2 palette is perfect for when I want to move away from predictable eye makeup and I'm tempted to ask for Vice 3 for Christmas.
Here's to hoping I'll manage a Bonfire Night Celebration next year...
