Last week, I was faced with a problem I have not had in a long time. I needed a new foundation and primer. I've been using the Arbonne Primer and Arbonne Foundation for a period of three years now. Don't get me wrong, they are fantastic products and part of me wishes I had just repurchased again, but the £6 delivery fee for a foundation and primer just wasn't appealing and I'm not sure Arbonne is something I want to support any more. So, it was time to hunt something new down.

Primer wise, I was sorely tempted to get my hands on Benefit's Porefessional again as I adore it, but the price tag was making my eyes water a little. However, I then noticed that Boots in Reading now has a NYX counter, so I decided that I'd give this brand I've heard so much about a try. Sadly the foundation I was interested in trying was sold out in my shade, but something did catch my eye...

NYX Pore Filler
After playing with testers of all the other primers NYX has to offer, I was about to admit defeat and try another brand, but then this little baby caught my eye. With a name like Pore Filler, I thought it might just be the replacement for Porefessional I was after. After using the tester, I was sold. Unfortunately the tube I've brought home with me seems to have a weird consistency. Hoping this goes away soon or that I've just got a dud batch!

NYX Sculpt and Highlight Contour
Believe it or not, I've only ever had one brow pencil before - mad right?! And, because said brow pencil was the wrong shade, I never used the damn thing. After seeing Hannah Gale post about some NYX goodies she picked up, I realised that it was about time I brought brow pencils into my life - starting with this one! So far I am loving it. It has super lasting power and makes my brows look fab with minimal effort.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination Skin
After sampling what felt like every foundation on every stand, I finally settled on purchasing one from Revlon. It was on offer for £9.99 so I thought why not, and I vaguely remember reading good reviews about this in the past. I've just been using the dregs of my Arbonne foundation the past few days, so I've yet to use this, but there will certainly be a full review one day.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
When I was last at my mum's house, there were a few boozy nights where washing my face properly was just not gonna happen. In a drunken haze, I was dragging a face wipe across my face thinking to myself that there must be a better way - then, I remembered, there was! Micellar water! I've actually owned the Garnier one before but when I moved down South, my bottle broke and emptied itself so I never got round to deciding whether I liked it or not.

Superdrug Coconut Oil
It has been ages since I gave my hair a lovely, nourishing treatment so I thought I'd pick up something cheap and hyped up to try.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser
Originally, I'd been set on repurchasing Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish as my current cleanser is on the way out. However, the price was a bit too much to swallow on the day I went shopping, so I picked this up instead. While I don't like it quite as much as Liz Earle, it's still a pretty good cleanser.

What beauty bits have you picked up recently?
