There's an abundance of button down dresses available in stores right now and I must say, I am loving it. Unfortunately I'm trying to be grown up and stop spending money I don't have on things I don't need, so I can't go completely crazy and buy them all, but I did manage to pick up this lovely coral-coloured, lace detailed number from Boohoo before I went to Benidorm.

Outfit Details:
Dress: Boohoo
Sunglasses and Shoes: Primark

When the dress I arrived, I wasn't quite sure whether I wanted to keep it or not. Due to my small stature, the lace detail sits in a strange place on me and unfortunately reveals my knickers. It's also far too low cut to get away with at work and I tend to stick to buying only clothes I'm happy to wear both at work and outside of work so my wardrobe is versatile and gets worn regularly. However, I soon managed to find a way around this.

In these particular outfit photos, I am actually wearing a nude slip from Primark underneath the dress which worked really well for me. I felt comfortable but I wasn't exposing my knickers to the world through the lace detail! The slip is a nice option for when I want a nice, dressy outfit, but for work, I just wear a long, plain white vest top underneath. It doesn't look quite as nice as the nude slip does, but because it covers more of my chest up, it becomes a lot more office appropriate that way.

As it's such a lovely dress, there was no need for fancy accessories. I stuck to a simple silver necklace gifted to me by my mum on her wedding day and some plainish white flats. Being in Benidorm when these photos were taken meant sunglasses were also necessary. However looking at these photos has made me decide to retire this particular set of sunnies! They are unfortunately a bit too big for my face and they were also too big for my head and kept sliding off.

Sunglasses aside, I really love this outfit and I imagine at some point, I'll probably find some money in the budget for another button down dress or two...!
