Pastels and Velvet [Outfit Post]

Before I jump into today's post, can we talk about how good my sister is at taking outfit photos? It was so great having her around in Benidorm, I really miss having her here to take regular snaps of my outfits for me. These are some of my favourite outfit photos ever and lovely Eve is also to thank for my wavy hair too! If you're reading Evil, I love ya!

Outfit Details:
Top: Pimkie
Skirt: New Look
Shoes: Primark
Neckalce: gifted

As you may or may not know, this New Look skirt is actually one half of a co-ordinating set. However, after a few wears, I've now decided that both skirt and top work better in separate outfits! So far, my favourite combination is the one you see above. I'd been after a nice looking vest top in on of the colours that appears in the skirt for ages and while shopping in my favourite European shop Pimkie, I stumbled across this mint green/blue velvet vest top and knew it was fate.

Admittedly, the colour isn't quite right but I've decided I still really like the combination. In fact, this is the outfit I wore to Franco Manca and I couldn't believe how many compliments I got. A few people even thought it was a dress rather than a top and skirt so clearly the colour can't be that off!

Because the skirt is quite loud, I decided on a simple silver necklace and my white shoes to finish the outfit off and I'm pretty happy with the results. This is now one of my go to evening outfits!
